What is a Section?

A section in Festie is a way to organize and categorize programmes and participants. Sections help you:

  • Group related programmes together
  • Organize participants by categories
  • Create separate competition areas
  • Manage different fest departments
  • Track performance by section

Add Section

Creating a New Section

  1. Navigate to Sections
  2. Click “Add Section”
  3. Enter section details:
    • Section name
    • Section code (optional)
    • Description
    • Section manager
    • Rules and guidelines
  4. Save the section

Section Information

  • Section Name: Display name for the section
  • Section Code: Short identifier (e.g., “ARTS”, “SPORTS”)
  • Description: Detailed section information
  • Manager: Assigned section manager
  • Rules: Section-specific rules and guidelines

Export Section List

Export Options

  1. Go to Sections section
  2. Click “Export Sections”
  3. Choose format:
    • CSV (Excel compatible)
    • PDF report
    • Excel file
  4. Download the file

Export Data Includes

  • Section name and code
  • Manager information
  • Programme count
  • Participant count
  • Performance metrics
  • Registration statistics

View Candidates of a Section

Section Member Management

  1. Click on a section name
  2. View section members list
  3. See member details:
    • Name and contact
    • Team affiliation
    • Programme participation
    • Performance history

Adding Members to Section

  1. Select the section
  2. Click “Add Members”
  3. Search for candidates
  4. Select members to add
  5. Confirm addition

Removing Members from Section

  1. Go to section members list
  2. Click “Remove” next to member
  3. Confirm removal

View Programmes of a Section

Section Programme Management

  1. Select a section
  2. Click “Programmes” tab
  3. View all programmes in section:
    • Programme name and type
    • Registration status
    • Participant count
    • Results status

Adding Programmes to Section

  1. Go to section programmes
  2. Click “Add Programme”
  3. Select from available programmes
  4. Assign to section
  5. Configure section-specific settings
