What is a Category?
A category in Festie is a way to classify and organize programmes into logical groups. Categories help participants and organizers understand the nature and scope of different programmes.
Categories can be based on:
- Subject Area: Academic, sports, cultural, technical
- Skill Level: Beginner, intermediate, advanced
- Age Group: Junior, senior, open
- Competition Type: Individual, team, group
- Duration: Short-term, long-term, ongoing
Change Categories of Programmes
Assigning Categories
- Go to Categories section
- Select programme to categorize
- Click “Change Category”
- Choose new category
- Save category assignment
Bulk Category Assignment
- Select multiple programmes
- Click “Bulk Assign Category”
- Choose target category
- Confirm assignment
- Update all selected programmes

- Click “Create Category”
- Enter category details:
- Category name
- Description
- Color code (optional)
- Icon (optional)
- Save category

- Category Name: Display name for the category
- Description: Detailed category information

- Parent Category: For subcategories
